Next Generation Track Information

Churches today struggle both to keep and to reach the next generation. These digital natives offer unique challenges to ministry while providing hope for the future of the Church. Leaders in this track will examine urbanization, diversity, the family, and how to bring an unchanging gospel message to a generation accustomed to rapid change. 


Victor-Flores-amplifyVictor Flores is Pastor of Student Discipleship of FBC Orlando (Florida). He served at Bell Shoals Baptist Church in Brandon, Florida from 1991 to 2017, is a graduate of Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, and was the recipient of the Student Leadership University Lifetime Achievement Award in April of 2016. Victor and his wife, Esther, recently co-authored the book Raise to Release: A Missional Mandate for Parents.


Eric-Redmond-amplifyEric C. Redmond is Assistant Professor of Bible at Moody Bible InstituteChicago. He serves as Associate Pastor of Adult Ministries at Calvary Memorial Church, Oak Park, IL. Eric and his wife, Pam, have been happily married since July 1991. They have five children and reside in Brookfield, IL.


Reid-webAlvin L. Reid (@alvinreid) is Professor of Evangelism and Student Ministry and Bailey Smith Chair of Evangelism at Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary. He is the author of As You Go: Creating a Missional Culture of Gospel-Centered Students. He loves encouraging the younger generation to live for Jesus. Breakout Topic: Reaching and Equipping the Next Generation for Gospel Advance. Great awakenings in the past feature both remarkable gospel advance and significant involvement by young people. In this breakout we’ll examine specific ways to engage churched youth and their families, along with approaches to reach unchurched and dechurched in the next generation.
